Fogless Bridge

It is so rare that you can actually see the Golden Gate Bridge at night time...it is even more rare that the sky is full of diamond like stars at the same time. Well, tonight was that night...and even though I am knee deep in other projects, I had to grab the camera and head out to shoot. As you may already know, I try to capture the 'not-so-obvious' beauty that exists in my photos...but this time I had to just take classic tourist shots of the Bridge. I was so taken by the beauty of it's grace and steady glow. The reality is that this international icon needs to be photographed in all its glory. Please enjoy...and if you happen to live in San Francisco, tonight is the night to be outdoors.

Fort Point Pier

San Francisco has one of the most unique coastlines...not only is it rugged and natural in some parts, it has these intriguing piers that jet out into the abyss, especially in the nighttime fog. I took these photos in dark, with only the moon used for off-camera lighting.

Downtown Los Angeles

Downtown LA has lots of character, especially when photographed on a Sunday morning with streets that are empty and clean. Los Angeles is home to many of our modern landmarks and points of interest including the tallest building West of the Mississippi (thanks Andrew), the most man made hills in one district, and the largest mass of concrete I have ever seen. I decided to stay black & white with the photos for the most part to catch all the contrasting textures and angles. The last photo of the Walt Disney Concert Hall was just too spectacular to take in B&W, the contrast of the deep blue sky and the bright stainless steel is just striking...in my opinion. Enjoy!

USC vs. UC

What a game! 97,000 people, all cheering for their favorite CA college football team is quite an experience...all that energy really can help make photos come alive! Please enjoy the following snapshots taken from my mid-stadium seat in Trojan territory, and be sure to notice the Air Force Jet fly over which occurred during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner. What a great place to be on a nice LA night.

Kitty's Bling

Jewelery has found a special place in the heart of Kitty, a San Francisco native and collector of fine..wearable treasures. Her collection is very expansive (and expensive) and I was able to only see a short glimpse of her life long collection. Please enjoy these photos of some of her most favorite pieces.
